SECDA Establishment 

 

SECDA was established for the management of the market oriented component of the Poverty Alleviation and Employment Generation in Giza Governorate (PAP) . PAP is an Italian Egyptian cooperation program established with the protocol in September 1997.

SECDA is an Egyptian Non Governmental Organization (NGO) . It was established at 1999 by its General Assembly Members and it was registered under the umbrella of Ministry of Social Affairs.

It is managed by its Elected Board Members , They consider a mixture of experiences in several fields and they and the ability to plane and follow up the implementation process through qualified executive staff that have been chosen carefully to guarantee the best achievement of SECDA  objective .

 

SECDA Objective

SECDA aim to develop local communities in both rural and urban economically , environmentally culturally , healthy and humanly to alleviate poverty and create new job opportunities .

 

SECDA Activities

SECDA is carrying out its objectives through the following activities :

Facilitate giving loans to Small & Micro Entrepreneurs in cooperation with local & International Organization

Giving technical assistance to the beneficiaries through training courses .

Setting up database to provide an accurate information about the community and the beneficiaries .

Helping the beneficiaries in the marketing process for their products through facilitate their participation in the marketing exhibitions .

Supporting the women role in the community development 

 

SECDA Programs

SECDA is an official counterpart in the Poverty Alleviation and Employment Generation Program (PAP) in Giza Govern orate  in cooperation with Credit Guarantee Company (CGC) through two separate agreements.

CGC role is to act as a financial tools for access to the formal credit system . It has signed a trustee agreement with PAP , guaranteeing a leverage of up to three times of the original value of the trust fund and open a credit line in the name of SECDA up to 7.5 million L.E .

 

Beneficiary's Criteria 

Egyptian with good reputation , working in giza governorate .

Insufficient collateral to to get loans from the formal sector .

No commitments to other loans from any other program or bank .

Ability to expand and create new job opportunities .

A minimum of education that facilitate good management for the project .

Previous experience and skills in the project field that prove the seriousness of the beneficiary .

 

Loan Purpose 

To increase the production volume and productivity of existing enterprises .

The loan should be used for a specific purpose and the preference is given to loans that are used to increase the working capital .

 

Loan Size

The loan size of credits range from maximum of 50,000 reach to minimum 5,000 L.E .

Repeated loans can be given to registered enterprises only and according to the feasibility study for each project .

Repayment Period 

The repayment period varies between 12 to 24 months , according to the result of the project feasibility study.
